Believe it or not, despite having now published four eBooks, I do not own a dedicated eBook reading device. Up until now I've bought my books as paperbacks, or read them on my phone or laptop screen. The latter has not been a comfortable experience.

Because of the increasing number of indie titles I'd like to read, I'm considering getting an eBook reader.

I live in the UK. I'm after something that I can use with Kindle books, but also independently published eBooks. The screen must not hurt my eyes. Ideally I'd like to be able to read with the light off. Splash proof if possible. My budget is around £120.

I have an iPhone, which has 3G, so I can already check emails, read short articles etc, wherever I am. I have WiFi access and a laptop connected to the internet, at home.

Which eBook reader do you recommend?
